The museum lends itself to a variety of topics, such as weather, fishing and the sea, etc. These can be studied by a single visit to the museum or alternatively as part of the Eyemouth Heritage Partnership involving Gunsgreen House and Eyemouth Maritime Centre. Teachers are welcome to familiarise themselves with the layout and the subject matter of the museum.
You will not have to wait until a sunny, dry day and can instead be assured your school trip will go ahead whatever the weather as the museum’s upstairs exhibition area can be used for discussions and to enjoy packed lunches.
School resource packs are in the process of being updated and will be available to schools prior to your visit.
